On the Panel
Things have been really quiet over here since I've been drafted into the newest Goalsystem project, Goalsystem Delves.
I won't get too much into it here, but Delves is like Goalsystem and Heroquest had a baby. It's a great system for dungeon crawling and we have some really great rewards, including some awesome recycled rubber dungeon terrain. If you love Goalsystem, give it a look.
But that is not the main point of this post. I've been asked to participate in an online panel discussion on Indie+, which is a five day online convention. I'll be speaking with other game designers that used Kickstarter to fund theri rules projects. we have a really cool group of designers. the panel will be streamed live at 7:00pm Eastern time on the conventions main site and will be posted to Youtube once we're done.
Kickstarter + Indie Games
So if you want to listen to my nasally drone talk about game design and Kickstarter, come on over and have a look.

A Glimps of Things to Come

Just a quick update, here are a few previews for the official Department 15mm figure line from Effigy Miniatures. Tom did a bang up job on this first wave of figures, which will be abvailable as soon as they get back form the caster.I'm really pelased with how these turned out. They will be ideal for The Department and really fill the need for 15mm humanoid robots.
Also, for those of you attending Salute. Any pruchase at our stand will come with a 15% off voucher for this range of figures when they are released.

The Department At Salute!
After a successful Kickstarter and months of development, The Department is ready for released at Salute 2012. We’ll be at table GD16 running demo games all day. Come on down and see what the game is all about. But more importantly, we’ll be releasing the Printed rulebook at the show!
We expect these books sell pretty quickly so we’re going to run a simple pre-order system to let us better estimate the stock we will need at the show.

If know you want to get copy at the show, send an email with your name and the number of books you want to TheDepartmentPreOrder@gmail.com and we will set a copy aside for you. No payment is necessary; you can pay for the book at the show. If you are a Kickstarter backer and you want to pick up your rewards at the show, send us an email as well.
We will also be carrying some stock from our miniature partner Effigy Miniatures (http://www.effigyminis.com/) . The Department official figures will unfortunately not be available at the show due to problems with the caster. However, every purchase of the book will come with a coupon for 15% off the official range when it is available later in May.

The Department Figure Preview

Here is a preview of the new 15mm figure range that Effigy Miniatures is producing specifically for The Department.
The figure is sculpted by the very talented Tom Mason. Effigy is his new sculpting shop and I'm really pleased to be working with him to produce figures for the Department.
I'm really loving this figure. It captures the world of The Department perfectly.

Blast it all!

You may have been wondering what I've been doing instead of gaming. Aside from furiously working on The Department, I've been finish up a freelance project I was working on before the Kickstarter took off.
I'm actually really proud of Blasters and Bulkheads. I've been working on the page designs since early June and it's really neat to see the whole project for sale. I'm really impressed with Joe Urban's cover art, and I'd love to see a mini produced of that character. Though I admit, it looks kinda like hes burning the hair off of the back of his neck.
You can snag a copy at Wargame downloads(which includes full color and printer friendly). So as always, buy loads so I get more work.
Now it's all Department, all the time until April. It's going well so far and I think the layout is going to be even better than Blaster and Bulkheads! There are a lot of concepts in B&B that I'm going to put in The Department.
